Ethical and Social aspects of Collaborative Science The growing interest for collaboration in science comes from many directions and is particularly emphasized in the managerial and political discourse advocating general reorganization of scientific work. The seminar is intended as a platform to share perspectives on the sociological dimensions (network, domination), the technological choices (simulation, human-machine interaction), the organizational aspects (bureaucracy, leadership) and the epistemological issues (communication, distributed cognition) of these collaborative practices in science. In this session, we will focus on the ethical and social aspects of collaborative science, especially of neuroscience. Governance of neuroscience, interdisciplinary perspectives in neuroscience and the ethical and social impacts of technologies are among the issues to be discussed. The workshop is open to participants from various backgrounds and disciplines.
