- Professor Miyake is an architect majoring in history of architecture,
regional planning and design management. He graduated from Tokyo University
in 1973 (Department of Civil Engineering) and from l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts
(School of architecture, Paris) in 1979. After 1982, he occupied various
teaching positions in the Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo),
Universite de Liege (Belgium), Keio University, Conservatoire National des
arts et métiers (Paris). In 2010, he was appointed Professor at Fuji
Women's University (Sapporo).
Professor Miyake will present his book published in June 2010, Akihabara wa ima 秋葉原は今 [Akihabara forever] (Geijutsu shinbunsha 芸術新聞社).
